This is a 7-page solo piano medley featuring “Let Every Lamp Be Burning” and “You Will See Your Lord A-Coming.”

F. E. Belden wrote Let Every Lamp Be Burning as a stirring call to readiness, drawing on Jesus’ parable of the ten virgins and the Adventist emphasis on watchfulness. Paired with it is You Will See Your Lord A-Coming, a beloved early Advent song that James White was known to sing at the beginning of his sermons—setting hearts on the hope of Christ’s soon return.  Alejandro Consolacion II shapes these two pieces into one continuous musical journey—from earnest preparation to confident anticipation of the coming King. Barbara Irene Bennett, creator of Hymns for Worship, performs on the piano.
